Senior Electrical Engineer – BIM

About the role

Qureos Inc is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong BIM expertise to join an engineering consultancy in Qatar. The position starts as a 2‑month contract with a high likelihood of extension, ideal for professionals who can mobilise quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Design LV/MV power distribution systems for various building types.
• Perform load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop, short‑circuit analysis, and protection coordination.
• Create single‑line diagrams, power and lighting layouts, panel schedules, and detailed documentation.
• Design indoor, outdoor, and emergency lighting using Dialux or Relux.
• Develop fire alarm, emergency communication, public address, and life‑safety systems.
• Engineer ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, structured cabling, BMS, IPTV, and nurse‑call.
• Size generators, UPS, conduct power‑factor correction, harmonic analysis, and energy‑efficiency studies.
• Build accurate 3D electrical BIM models in Autodesk Revit MEP and manage families.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings, resolve clashes with Navisworks, and ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans and ISO 19650.
• Collaborate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and public‑health teams throughout all project phases.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in electrical engineering and BIM for building projects.
• Ability to deliver high‑quality designs on tight schedules.
• Immediate availability or ability to mobilise at short notice.
