Senior Engineer - Drainage

About the role

AECOM is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Engineer – Drainage to join its Doha team. You will lead the design and delivery of complex drainage systems for large‑scale infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with Qatar building codes and MME standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and finalize primary drainage system elements independently.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, modeling and testing to validate system performance.
• Gather and analyse engineering data using established procedures.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in engineering results with innovative solutions.
• Manage project timelines and budgets with minimal supervision.
• Mentor entry‑level engineers and foster a collaborative environment.
• Conduct site assessments and surveys to define drainage requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, design drawings and reports using CAD software.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in drainage system design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar building codes and MME standards.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
