Senior Java Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Engineer to design, develop and support enterprise‑grade microservices for digital banking and other enterprise applications. You will own the full lifecycle of components, from solution design through production support, working in an Agile delivery team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance Java 17/21 applications using Spring Boot 3.x.
• Build scalable, secure microservices and define RESTful API contracts.
• Develop data persistence layers with Oracle Database, Spring Data JPA and optimise SQL queries.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerised deployments on Kubernetes, OpenShift or Azure.
• Create unit and integration tests with JUnit 5 and Mockito, ensuring required code coverage.
• Participate in code reviews, maintain technical documentation and enforce coding standards.
• Provide production support, investigate incidents and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with solution architects, QA, DevOps, product owners and infrastructure teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 9 + years of professional Java development experience.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise‑grade microservices in an Agile environment.
