Senior Production & Planning Engineer

About the role

The Senior Production & Planning Engineer will lead the integrated supply‑chain planning for LNG and non‑LNG products at Ras Laffan Terminal Operator. The role ensures that ship schedules, storage inventories and contractual commitments are aligned daily to avoid disruptions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop reliable loading schedules for RLTO facilities and coordinate product rundowns with producers.
• Prepare short‑term and long‑term forecasts for non‑LNG production and refinery feedstock balances.
• Manage berthing requests with port authorities and pilots, and resolve loading conflicts with sales and port schedulers.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams on planned or unplanned work affecting storage and loading assets.
• Monitor actual versus forecast rundown performance and adjust forecasts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Operate and update the RLTO Storage and Berth System (HIMS) and propose mitigation plans for unplanned events.
• Develop and maintain scheduling procedures consistent with agreements and business needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of commercial and shipping experience in oil & gas, including at least 5 years as a product/oil scheduler.
• Proven experience in planning and scheduling petroleum products.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HIMS (Storage and Berth System).
