Senior System Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer to act as the technical authority for our enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, automation, security, and modern data environments. The role demands deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, DevOps practices, and a broad range of infrastructure technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, deploy and manage Windows Server and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) environments.
• Perform advanced Linux administration, kernel tuning, Bash/Python scripting, and security hardening with SELinux/AppArmor.
• Design, implement and govern Azure IaaS/PaaS, networking, SDN, Hub‑and‑Spoke, Entra ID and cloud governance.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Azure Bicep.
• Build CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Automate configuration management with PowerShell and Ansible.
• Manage virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper‑V) and container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Administer databases and streaming platforms such as MS SQL, Kafka and MongoDB, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
• Implement security controls aligned with ISO 27001 and NIST, and run vulnerability assessments with Qualys or Tenable.
• Oversee backup and disaster‑recovery solutions using Veeam, Commvault or Veritas.
• Maintain architecture documentation, SOPs, and follow ITIL v4 processes for incident, problem, change and asset management.
• Lead projects, migrations and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• 10+ years of IT infrastructure and systems engineering experience.
• 7+ years of hands‑on Microsoft Azure and DevOps implementation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven ability to design, automate and secure large‑scale enterprise environments.
