Senior System Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer to oversee the operation and maintenance of our IT systems and infrastructure. You will ensure continuity, performance, and security of all platforms while collaborating with developers and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and maintain all installed IT systems and infrastructure.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Apply quality‑control procedures to keep systems efficient and operational.
• Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and work with developers on fixes.
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
• Liaise with vendors and IT personnel to resolve issues.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Provide 2nd/3rd‑level technical support and troubleshoot incidents.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis for service interruptions and implement preventive measures.
• Create reports and documentation of findings and solutions.
• Write and maintain scripts to improve system efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
• Perform related data/information exchange communications and other assigned tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT systems administration and management.
• Proven hands‑on experience with Windows‑based environments and virtualization platforms.
• Technical certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle, or equivalent are preferred.
• Prior experience delivering projects for government or public‑sector clients in the Middle East is a plus.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
