Shutdown Manager

About the role

Jerry Varghese Consultancy is seeking an experienced Shutdown Manager to lead an oil and gas shutdown project in Doha, Qatar. The role requires coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering the shutdown on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute shutdown activities for oil and gas facilities.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, operations and safety personnel.
• Monitor progress, manage risks and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and provide regular status updates.
• Ensure timely completion of the shutdown while minimizing downtime and cost.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of relevant oil and gas shutdown experience.
• Proven track record of managing shutdown projects.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Ability to coordinate complex, multidisciplinary activities.
• Effective planning and execution skills.
