Site Inspector - Architectural

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is looking for a Site Inspector (Architectural) in Doha to support the delivery of Design & Build interior fit-out projects. The inspector reviews architectural designs, inspects site activities, coordinates technical interfaces and ensures works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, contractual requirements and applicable Qatar standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and technical submissions.
• Inspect architectural and interior fit-out works such as partitions and ceilings, flooring and wall finishes, doors and glazing, joinery and furniture, decorative finishes and specialist architectural elements.
• Coordinate with the Design & Build contractor, consultants and specialist subcontractors, and ensure proper integration of architectural, structural and MEP works.
• Monitor progress, workmanship and compliance, identify quality deficiencies and issue site observations or Non-Conformance Reports, then follow up on corrective actions.
• Review material samples, mock-ups and prototype installations before full implementation, and attend inspections, progress and technical coordination meetings.
• Prepare inspection reports and progress updates, verify completed works for interim payments, assist with variation proposals, and take part in snagging, de-snagging, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Maintain RFIs, site instructions, inspection requests, quality records and as-built documentation, and ensure compliance with QCS, Qatar Civil Defense requirements and international standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture; professional registration preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in architectural design, construction supervision or project management.
• Minimum 5 years in high-end commercial office fit-out projects.
• Experience in Design & Build contracts is essential; Qatar experience and familiarity with major corporate office projects preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of QCS, Qatar Civil Defense requirements and local authority approval procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Revit or BIM experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of joinery, millwork, material inspection, finishes, QA/QC, snagging and handover.
