SOC Analyst – Security Operations Center

About the role

The SOC Analyst will monitor and defend our client’s IT infrastructure against cyber threats, both in the cloud and on‑premise. You will assess security systems for weaknesses, recommend improvements, and ensure the protection of sensitive data from hackers, cyber‑terrorists and malware.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, secure and eliminate threats as front‑line defense personnel.
• Monitor, manage and configure security tools; review incidents, assess urgency and escalate when needed.
• Act as a Tier 2 incident responder, remediate serious attacks, determine scope and collect data for analysis.
• Investigate breaches to determine root cause and define remediation steps.
• Generate security reports that inform the effectiveness of security policies.
• Advise clients on necessary changes to counter attacks and improve security standards.
• Document incidents and contribute to incident‑response and disaster‑recovery plans.
• Lead and coach the SOC team, develop capabilities and ensure succession planning.
• Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs and oversee development plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center, preferably within a Managed Security Services environment.
