Specialist – Neurosurgery

About the role

The Specialist – Neurosurgery will join a multidisciplinary team, reporting to the Consultant, Section Head and Department Chair. Working under the Consultant’s guidance, the role involves delivering high‑quality clinical services, supporting patient management and contributing to the institution’s research, education and training agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Provide neurosurgical clinical care, including cerebrovascular and skull‑base procedures, under the supervision of the Consultant.
• Assist the Consultant in patient management, ensuring adherence to defined privileges and safety standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to treatment planning.
• Support the development and execution of research projects aligned with the Academic Health System strategy.
• Engage in educational activities and training of junior staff and trainees.

Required profile

• Arab Board qualification in Neurosurgery or an equivalent recognized qualification (e.g., Jordan, India, Sudan).
• Minimum three years of post‑qualification experience in neurosurgery, with proven expertise in cerebrovascular and skull‑base surgery.
• Valid medical license/registration in the home country and eligibility for licensing in Qatar.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence and high standards of care.
