System Tester – QA Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a System Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications. The role involves planning, designing, executing and closing test activities while working closely with developers, stakeholders and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in end‑to‑end testing activities, including test planning, analysis, design, implementation, execution, and closure.
• Design and execute test cases based on functional and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and sanity testing.
• Validate system integrations across multiple components and platforms.
• Analyze real‑time data flows and ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Identify, log and track defects, collaborating with development teams for timely resolution.
• Review requirements and system design documents to ensure testability and coverage.
• Support simulation and scenario‑based testing where applicable.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including developers, stakeholders and operations.
• Perform other testing duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in system or software testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC and QA methodologies.
• Ability to work independently, drive tasks proactively and support night or after‑hours testing when required.

Required skills

• SQL database testing.
• API testing concepts.
• Test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
• Experience with testing complex or mission‑critical systems.
• Knowledge of test automation tools or scripting (advantageous).
• ISTQB Foundation certification (or working towards it).
