Technical & Asset Manager – Water & Wastewater Infrastructure

About the role

Saur is seeking a Technical & Asset Manager to lead six critical functions that ensure the reliability, performance, and digital transformation of its water and wastewater infrastructure in Doha. The role combines asset management, GIS, handover/takeover, IT/OT, innovation, and technical studies to drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize asset lifecycle, maintain inventory, and implement preventive maintenance using CMMS/Maximo, RCM, FMECA and RCA.
• Manage GIS data for sewer, stormwater, groundwater and TSE networks, supporting mapping and operational maintenance.
• Oversee handover/takeover processes, including commissioning, documentation, training, spare parts, and HSE preparation.
• Direct IT/OT infrastructure, cybersecurity, SCADA, PLC/RTU, automation, telemetry and instrumentation.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives such as smart asset management, predictive maintenance, AI, remote monitoring, energy efficiency and climate resilience.
• Conduct engineering studies, develop improvement proposals, prepare technical‑commercial offers and resolve operational defects.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, surveyors, maintenance crews and SAUR Group technical resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental or related); Master’s degree is a plus.
• 10–15 years of experience in asset management, infrastructure operations or utilities, preferably water/wastewater.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams across engineering, maintenance, GIS, IT/OT and technical projects.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
