Technical Officer – Electrical

About the role

The Technical Officer – Electrical is responsible for ensuring the serviceability of all electrical and fire‑life‑safety equipment at the airport. The role focuses on delivering preventive, corrective and improvement works safely and on time, while controlling maintenance costs.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor maintenance activities performed by contractors according to Oracle schedules.
• Conduct quality‑assurance audits and inspections of electrical and fire‑life‑safety assets, preparing detailed reports.
• Prepare and review electrical work methods in coordination with contractors and the Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) team.
• Lead a team of electrical supervisors (in‑house and contractors) for daily preventive‑maintenance audits and improvement projects.
• Raise Oracle requisitions for spares and services within the approved budget.
• Support the development of technical scopes of work and specifications for in‑house electrical engineering projects.
• Inspect completed works by external vendors to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
• Review spare‑part usage and maintain required inventory levels with contractors.
• Update technical information of electrical assets and monitor performance using the Asset Management System.
• Perform other department duties as directed by the Head of Department.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising electrical maintenance activities in an industrial or airport environment.
• Familiarity with Oracle scheduling tools and Asset Management Systems.
• Knowledge of electrical and fire‑life‑safety assets and related regulatory requirements.
• Ability to conduct quality‑assurance audits and produce accurate reports.
• Experience working with Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) procedures.
• Strong budgeting awareness for spare‑part and service requisitions.
