Telecom Engineer

About the role

Qureos Inc is seeking a Telecom Engineer to support the operation, maintenance, and integration of telecommunication systems used in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solutions. The role involves ensuring reliable meter data transmission and addressing any telecom-related issues that arise.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize telecommunication equipment and communication infrastructure for AMI.
• Investigate telecom failures, connectivity issues, outages, and suspected tampering, producing detailed technical reports with root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports in line with contract requirements.
• Provide advanced technical support during installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and repair of telecom and AMI communication systems.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, corporate risk management policies, information security, and HSE regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers, technicians, and field personnel, fostering continuous capability development.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management to support departmental objectives.

Required profile

• Strong background in telecommunications engineering, preferably with experience in AMI environments.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and produce clear, actionable reports.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, risk management, information security, and HSE regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting and mentoring.
