Telecom Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Technician to join our team and support the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecom and ELV systems across industrial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, maintain and troubleshoot telecom and ELV systems.
• Deploy and service CCTV, Access Control, and Fire & Gas detection equipment.
• Perform cable laying, termination, dressing, testing and basic fault identification.
• Assist with system configuration, testing and commissioning activities.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, layouts and wiring diagrams.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of installed systems.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers and site teams to complete assigned work.
• Maintain accurate records of installation, testing, maintenance and site activities.
• Ensure all work complies with HSE procedures and project requirements.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as a Telecom/ELV Technician.
• Hands‑on experience with CCTV, Access Control, Fire & Gas systems and low‑current installations.
• Previous work on Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial or EPC projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with Ras Laffan projects is an advantage.
• Good understanding of technical drawings, cabling and system wiring.
• Knowledge of HSE requirements and industrial site practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and teamwork abilities.
