Traffic Engineer – Highway Projects

About the role

We are an international engineering consultancy seeking a highly experienced Traffic Engineer to join our Roads & Infrastructure team in Qatar. The role focuses on delivering traffic engineering designs, impact assessments and management plans for major highway and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review traffic engineering designs and studies for large‑scale highway projects.
• Conduct traffic impact assessments, transportation planning studies and traffic modeling.
• Prepare traffic management and diversion schemes for construction phases.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams, authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance with local and international standards.
• Support project delivery through design reviews, technical assessments and engineering recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning and highway infrastructure.
• At least 5 years of experience working in GCC countries.
• Valid MMUP/UPDA certification.
• Strong knowledge of international and local traffic engineering standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proficiency in English.
