Training Manager – Lounges

About the role

The Training Manager – Lounges is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programmes for lounge staff across the network, including outstation locations. The role ensures that all training aligns with local and international regulatory requirements and supports Qatar Airways’ commercial and service objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Select, lead, develop and manage a core team of training professionals.
• Monitor on‑job performance, provide feedback and coaching to achieve annual objectives.
• Supervise the design, development and delivery of training programmes in compliance with national and international standards.
• Propose strategic plans for customer experience based on data analysis and ensure timely communication of new procedures.
• Maintain responsibility for all training content, product services and processes.
• Build relationships with key stakeholder departments and agree action plans for new products and services.
• Manage and update the library of Qatar Airways product information and competitor benchmarks.
• Present training updates to stakeholders at all levels and recommend remedial actions where standards are not met.
• Liaise with lounge line departments to identify training needs and implement relevant documentation.
• Assist in preparing capital and expense budgets and monitor annual training costs.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading training teams and delivering learning solutions.
• Strong coaching and performance‑management skills.
• Ability to develop strategic training plans based on data and market trends.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management and communication abilities.
• Experience handling budgets and cost monitoring for training functions.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for airport operations.
