Training Manager - Retail

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking a Training Manager to lead a team responsible for delivering the Retail training and development plan. The role focuses on driving employee development, learning engagement and departmental performance across Qatar Duty Free Retail.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver the Retail operational training plan aligned with Qatar Duty Free Retail objectives.
• Design, develop and implement learning solutions covering leadership, sales, product knowledge, systems, processes and soft‑skills.
• Partner with Retail stakeholders to analyse training needs, create and execute programmes that support business goals.
• Lead high‑profile training projects, new store openings and brand‑specific training initiatives.
• Act as the primary contact for learning queries, providing specialist expertise and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate training effectiveness, track performance metrics and continuously improve the learning culture.
• Coach and develop Retail line managers, fostering teamwork and talent pipelines.

Required profile

• Minimum High School or vocational diploma with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Retail or travel‑retail background combined with Learning & Development experience.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively at all organisational levels and manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong project‑management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines.
• Fluent English with excellent mentoring, coaching and team‑leadership capabilities.
