Transportation Specialist

About the role

As a Transportation Specialist at DHL Global Freight Forwarding Qatar, you will act as the key contact for assigned customers, guiding them through the entire shipment lifecycle—from rate quotation to delivery and billing—while ensuring expectations are met and issues are resolved promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with allocated customers, providing proactive updates on shipment status and exceptions.
• Coordinate with sales, pricing, operations and other internal teams to deliver seamless implementation of shipments.
• Handle customer inquiries such as Track and Trace requests and register all complaints.
• Drive resolution of complaints by solving issues directly or assigning tasks to the appropriate function.
• Support back‑office and call‑forwarding functions by liaising with clients on order acceptance.
• Follow up on spot quotations, contract closures and assist with up‑ and cross‑selling during inbound calls.
• Review performance reports and share them with customers.
• Escalate critical issues when required and collaborate with service providers to meet performance standards.
