Venture Control Accountant

About the role

Apply financial accounting and reporting skills to perform routine month‑end procedures that are vital to a successful financial close. You will interface with internal and external clients, providing routine information and advice on product revenues, inventory valuation and shareholder reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Account for all product revenues, reconcile month‑end accruals to delivered quantities and post invoices based on payment statements.
• Maintain volume and revenue reconciliations and produce the production‑to‑sold inventory schedule for quarterly reviews.
• Complete monthly inventory valuation, review depreciation/royalty/opex rates and coordinate with specialists on in‑transit volumes.
• Contribute to preliminary and final Volumetric Reports and ensure LNG revenue invoices flow from EC to SAP with proper controls.
• Prepare schedules for the monthly shareholder pack and validate forecast values with the project accounting team.
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and monthly reporting activities.
• Maintain the section SharePoint site, collate information for internal and external audits and perform self‑assessments.
• Support statistical returns, ad‑hoc analysis and ensure compliance with internal control frameworks such as TOFA.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or commerce, or any discipline with a recognised professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA, CFA, CIMA, CMA, CPA).
• Minimum 3 years experience in oil & gas and 3 years in a financial accounting role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting systems and financial recording/reporting tools.
