Wells Engineer (Cost Analysis)

About the role

QatarEnergy is looking for a Wells Engineer (Cost Analysis) in Doha. The role prepares and manages the Drilling & Completions Department business plan and budget in line with international industry standards and QatarEnergy policy requirements, and covers cost control and reporting for the department.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the Drilling & Completions Department business plan and budget according to international industry standards and QatarEnergy policy requirements.
• Prepare the D&C Department monthly, quarterly and annual reports and departmental KPIs.
• Provide cost control for Drilling & Completions contractor invoices and ensure they comply with contract terms.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in drilling and operations engineering roles.
• Demonstrated experience in business planning and budgeting activities.
• Experience in cost control, performance monitoring, preparation of management reports and review of contractor invoices.
• Good understanding of drilling and completions operations and their associated cost management processes.
• B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Required skills

• Strong analytical, communication and computer literacy skills.
• Experience with SAP modules related to budgeting and contracts is preferred.
