Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance (Internal Audit)

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Quality Assurance – Internal Audit will support the Quality Assurance team within QNB’s Professional Practices Department. The role ensures independent quality assurance of audit processes, guaranteeing compliance with the Group Internal Audit Manual, the IPPF Framework, and IIA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and execution of the risk‑based annual audit plan aligned with the Group Internal Audit strategy.
• Perform detailed reviews of audit engagements, working papers, final reports, and issue closures to maintain high quality standards.
• Identify significant risks that could lead to financial loss, operational disruption, or reputational damage and provide actionable recommendations.
• Assist in assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of audit‑related investments and technology processes.
• Promote cost consciousness, efficiency, and productivity across the audit function.
• Build and maintain independent, collaborative relationships with internal audit teams and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Full compliance with the Group Internal Audit Manual and IIA standards.
• Knowledge of the IPPF Framework and relevant local regulations.
• Understanding of industry audit standards and best practices.
