Contracts Division Manager

About the role

The Contracts Division Manager will lead all contracting activities for a major oil & gas project in Doha, Qatar. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures that tendering, EPC contracts and service agreements are executed in line with legal, commercial and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all project contracting activities, including ITT issuance, EPC contract execution and services administration.
• Oversee development of ITT packages and manage the end‑to‑end tendering process to ensure commercial integrity and compliance.
• Establish contract strategies, govern EPC documentation, and ensure balanced risk allocation.
• Assess technical and commercial submissions, advise senior management on contractual acceptability and award recommendations.
• Manage the full contract administration cycle, including change management, payment certification, claims resolution and final close‑out.
• Lead negotiations of contractor‑initiated changes and commercial adjustments to protect cost and schedule commitments.
• Handle complex contractual disputes and prepare formal commercial correspondence to safeguard company rights.
• Mentor contracts personnel, strengthen commercial competencies and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law or Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in oil & gas project functions (project management, engineering, construction, procurement).
• At least 3 years of project‑management leadership on a major oil & gas project.
• Proven experience in business and risk management, project controls, cost and schedule development, tender preparation and contract management.
