Senior Pipeline Designer

About the role

Wood is seeking a Senior Pipeline Designer to join its Omani team. The role focuses on delivering Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed design packages for on‑shore oil and gas projects, supporting both brownfield and greenfield opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop pipeline design drawings and documentation for FEED and detailed design scopes.
• Collaborate with pipeline engineers, designers and other discipline engineers to produce quality‑controlled deliverables.
• Implement hand‑marked changes, maintain standard drawing templates, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001‑2015 and API Q2 standards.
• Perform quality‑assurance reviews, monitor drawing progress, and meet project schedules.
• Identify and apply process improvements to reduce cycle time and cost.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of oil & gas piping design experience.
• At least 3 years using AutoCAD and 3D PDMS design systems.
• Minimum 5 years of FEED or engineering experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
