Assistant/Associate Professor – Nursing (Mental Health)

About the role

The University of Doha for Science and Technology seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor to join its College of Health Sciences. The successful candidate will teach and develop nursing programmes with a focus on mental health, contributing to the university’s applied‑learning mission.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate undergraduate and graduate nursing courses, including theory, laboratory, simulation and clinical components.
• Assess student learning outcomes and manage learning‑environment resources.
• Collaborate with industry partners and advisory committees, and lead projects within the programme area.
• Maintain accreditation documentation, contribute to curriculum development and engage in scholarly and community activities.

Required profile

• PhD in Nursing or a related health field (or Master/Bachelor in Nursing if PhD is non‑nursing) and registration as a nurse in good standing.
• Minimum five years of recent full‑time clinical nursing practice.
• Demonstrated clinical and/or teaching experience in mental health nursing.
• Experience teaching nursing in a post‑secondary setting (or extensive clinical experience with student preceptorship).

Required skills

• Use of diverse and innovative teaching methods, including simulation and educational technologies.
• High digital literacy and ability to develop technology‑enriched learning environments.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
