Coating Quality Controller – Ship Repair & Marine Maintenance

About the role

Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions is seeking a Coating Quality Controller to support ship repair and marine maintenance operations. The position requires a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, NACE 1 or FROSIO certification, and proven shipyard experience. The controller will inspect coating applications, verify compliance with marine coating standards, and document inspection results to maintain high quality across all projects. The role reports to the Quality Assurance manager and collaborates with engineering and production teams to resolve any coating defects. Ensuring proper surface preparation and curing processes is essential to meet client specifications and regulatory requirements. All inspections are recorded in the company's quality management system for traceability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• NACE 1 or FROSIO certification.
• Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience.
• Ship repair or shipyard experience.
• Relevant coating quality inspection experience.
• Knowledge of marine coating quality requirements.
