Contracts / Commercial Manager – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Contracts / Commercial Manager to lead the full contract lifecycle across multiple large‑scale infrastructure projects in Lusail. The successful candidate will ensure contractual compliance, manage claims and variations, and support the delivery of major roads, drainage and other public works.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and monitor contracts for several project sites, ensuring all obligations and deliverables are met.
• Draft, review and respond to formal contractual correspondence.
• Identify contractual risks, develop mitigation strategies and advise project teams.
• Prepare, negotiate and support claims, variations and time‑extension requests.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, local regulations and internal policies.
• Assist in dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation or formal mechanisms.
• Coordinate commercial matters with internal teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients.
• Lead and mentor contract administrators and commercial staff across sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Chartered membership or equivalent professional certification (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB, CIArb) preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of contracts and commercial management experience on multi‑site, large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Hands‑on experience with major roads, infrastructure and drainage works.
• Experience with the Public Works Authority (PWA / Ashghal) is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Cost‑Plus, Lump Sum and other construction contract types.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
