Director, Private Banking

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Private Banking to lead the Private Banking and Retail Banking Group in Qatar. The role focuses on optimizing the client base, delivering a full suite of private banking products, and driving growth through new high‑net‑worth (HNW) relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize the value of the existing client base by delivering private banking products and services.
• Identify and acquire new HNW customers and expand the portfolio across investments, term deposits, CASA balances, treasury and cash management, FX trading, and share financing.
• Structure advice and solutions tailored to client needs while maintaining superior customer service and proactive issue resolution.
• Collaborate with other bank professionals to maximize revenue and cross‑sell opportunities.
• Safeguard the bank against potential loss, AML fraud, and ensure ethical behavior at all times.
• Enhance the market profile and awareness of the private banking offering.
• Achieve revenue, sales and portfolio growth targets while minimizing client attrition.

Required profile

• Proven ability to communicate effectively with HNW clients and understand their financial needs.
• Strong commercial mindset with a focus on profitability and revenue generation.
• Experience in identifying partnership opportunities within a banking environment.
• Commitment to ethical standards, AML compliance and protecting the bank’s reputation.
• Track record of acquiring new HNW clients and growing a private banking book.
