Economic Expert – Economic Analysis & Policy Advisor

About the role

The Economic Expert provides economic analysis, research, and policy advice to support strategic decision‑making, evaluating trends, assessing policy impacts, and preparing reports for senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct economic research, market analysis and forecasting to inform strategic planning and policy development.
• Assess the economic impact of policies, regulations, legislation, projects and investment initiatives.
• Monitor local, regional and global economic trends, identifying emerging risks and opportunities.
• Develop economic models, scenario analyses and financial impact assessments for evidence‑based decisions.
• Perform cost‑benefit analyses, feasibility studies and impact assessments for major projects.
• Analyze macro‑economic and sector‑specific indicators such as GDP, inflation, employment and trade.
• Prepare high‑quality reports, policy papers, briefing notes and executive summaries.
• Provide expert advice to senior management and support the implementation and evaluation of economic policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Finance, Public Policy or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5–8 years of professional experience in economic analysis, policy development or research, preferably in government, consulting or international organisations.
