Electrical CAD Operator

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Electrical CAD Operator to join our construction team in Lusail, Doha. The role involves preparing and revising electrical drawings, layouts and schematics using AutoCAD while ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, revise and update electrical drawings, layouts and schematics using AutoCAD.
• Develop single‑line diagrams, lighting layouts, power distribution layouts and cable routing drawings.
• Ensure all drawings meet project specifications, client requirements and relevant standards.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to incorporate design changes and resolve drafting issues.
• Maintain proper documentation and version control of all electrical drawings.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an Electrical CAD Operator in the construction industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering designs accurately.
• Proven ability to coordinate effectively with electrical engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical drafting.
• Experience creating single‑line diagrams.
• Knowledge of lighting layout design.
• Knowledge of power distribution layout design.
• Experience with cable routing drawings.
• Understanding of electrical drafting standards and construction practices.
