Freelance Claims Processing Agent – AI Trainer

About the role

This freelance position supports AI development by evaluating and creating test scenarios for auto insurance claim processing. You will work remotely on a project‑based basis, helping to ensure AI decisions are accurate, compliant, and robust.

Key responsibilities

• Assess AI‑generated auto insurance claim decisions for accuracy, coverage correctness, and regulatory compliance.
• Design First Notice of Loss (FNOL) scenarios that include contradictions, decoy files, and outdated documents to test system resilience.
• Write and grade fraud‑flagging scenarios using structured reason codes for Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals.
• Develop subrogation test cases applying state‑specific negligence rules and evaluate recovery likelihood.
• Document all test cases with clear answers, policy citations, and payout calculations.

Required profile

• Degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Law or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance claims, legal services, or broader financial services.
• Recent hands‑on experience in claims adjusting or a closely related role.
• Familiarity with auto‑insurance coverage decisions and state negligence rules.
• Professional credentials (AIC, CPCU, CIFI, SCLA) are a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).
