Freelance Mechanical Engineer & Python AI Trainer

About the role

This freelance position combines mechanical engineering expertise with advanced Python programming to create and evaluate AI training problems for leading tech companies. You will work on project‑based tasks that simulate real engineering workflows and help improve AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational engineering problems that reflect real‑world engineering processes.
• Create Python‑based problem statements requiring numerical methods, iterative solutions, and optimization.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and incorporate system design, analysis, and practical constraints.
• Base tasks on actual research challenges or industry applications.
• Validate solutions using Python and standard engineering libraries, and document problem statements with verified answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of professional, research, or teaching experience in engineering or related domains.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).
• Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS, CAP) are a plus.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Numerical and data‑analysis libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, and domain‑specific engineering libraries.
