Freelance Mechanical Engineer & Python AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with strong Python expertise to join our AI training platform on a freelance, project‑based basis. You will create and validate computational engineering problems that help improve AI systems for leading tech companies.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational engineering problems that mimic real engineering workflows.
• Create Python‑based problem statements requiring numerical methods, iterative solutions, and optimization.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and reflect practical engineering constraints.
• Develop and document clear problem descriptions, provide verified solutions, and use standard engineering libraries for validation.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional, research, or teaching experience in engineering or related domains.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).
• Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS, CAP) are a plus.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Numerical libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL or equivalent programming tools.
• Experience with engineering simulation and optimization methods.
