Head of Fixed Assets and Inventory

About the role

The Head of Fixed Assets and Inventory will lead the finance function responsible for managing the organization’s capital assets and inventory, ensuring accurate accounting, compliance with standards, and alignment with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to strategy formulation, annual business plans and policies for the Fixed Assets and Inventory department.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date fixed‑assets register, oversee tagging, verification, transfers, revaluations and retirements.
• Manage capital‑asset and inventory financial activities, monitor capital expenditures and ensure correct accounting treatment under applicable standards.
• Oversee month‑end and period‑end close processes, including depreciation reporting and soft close approval.
• Coordinate physical inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies and ensure accurate financial records.
• Arrange insurance coverage for assets and inventory and support audit requirements.

Required profile

• CA/CPA/CFA/MBA (Finance) qualification.
• 15+ years of accounting experience, including at least 5 years supervising Fixed Assets and Inventory.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the hospital/healthcare sector.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the GCC region.
• Proven experience handling high‑volume Fixed Assets & Inventory in an ERP environment and working under IFRS.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a recognized ERP system such as Oracle or SAP.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
