Mechanical Technician – Commercial Vehicles

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair commercial trucks and buses in our Doha workshop. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality mechanical and electrical repairs while ensuring vehicle reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing, preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs on commercial trucks and buses.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Carry out repairs to engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension and electrical systems.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals and manufacturer specifications.
• Identify required parts and provide accurate information for repair estimates.
• Record diagnostic findings, work performed and parts used on job cards and ensure timely completion.

Required profile

• IT I, diploma or technical qualification in Automotive Engineering, Diesel Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Auto Electrical or related field.
• Hands‑on experience servicing and repairing commercial trucks, buses or heavy vehicles.

Required skills

• Knowledge of modern vehicle electronics and CAN bus systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and manufacturer or multi‑brand diagnostic systems.
• Experience with engines, transmissions, braking, steering, suspension and electrical systems.
• Fault‑finding capabilities and ability to read wiring diagrams.
