Medical Beds & Furniture Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Medical Beds & Furniture Maintenance Technician ensures that hospital beds and related medical furniture are safe, functional, and compliant with manufacturer and hospital standards. This role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting faults, and coordinating with clinical staff to minimize equipment downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hospital beds and medical furniture according to OEM guidelines.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and operational faults.
• Conduct regular safety and functionality inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Respond promptly to breakdown requests and coordinate repairs with hospital maintenance teams.
• Report major faults, recurring issues, and equipment that requires replacement or specialist support.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance of medical beds and furniture.
• OEM training certification for hospital beds (Hillrom preferred).
• Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare facility, preferably in Qatar.
• Valid Qatar driving license (preferred) and good command of English.

Required skills

• Mechanical troubleshooting of medical equipment.
• Electrical troubleshooting of medical equipment.
• OEM Hospital Bed maintenance (Hillrom certification).
