Peer Reviewer (PhD) – Critical Care Medicine (Remote, Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking experienced researchers with a PhD to provide expert peer review for manuscripts in the field of Critical Care Medicine. This is a long‑term, part‑time position that can be performed remotely, offering flexibility while contributing to the quality of scholarly publications.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and scientific contribution of submitted manuscripts.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Check the completeness and relevance of literature citations.
• Analyze results and conclusions for clarity and validity.
• Provide constructive, written feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Strong understanding of research methods and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review platforms.
