Procurement Specialist – Strategic Sourcing

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will drive end‑to‑end sourcing activities for Gulf Drilling International in Doha, ensuring timely and compliant acquisition of materials, equipment and services. The role combines operational procurement execution with strategic category management and stakeholder collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Execute full procurement cycle from requisition to purchase order, maintaining audit‑ready records in Oracle ERP.
• Manage RFQ processes, evaluate supplier quotations, and prepare award recommendations for leadership.
• Own category strategy for assigned business units, monitor market trends, and negotiate optimal commercial terms.
• Coordinate with legal, finance, operations and contract teams to align requirements and drive contract utilization.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, consolidate demand, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field; CIPS certification preferred.
• Proven experience with Oracle ERP procurement modules and strong data‑analytics capability.
• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships and influence cross‑functional teams.
