QAQC Engineer – Carpentry, Joinery & Fit‑Out Manufacturing

About the role

The QAQC Engineer will design, implement and maintain quality assurance and control systems for all carpentry, joinery and fit‑out manufacturing activities. The role ensures that every product, material and workmanship meets approved drawings, specifications, client requirements, relevant standards and internal procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and keep up‑to‑date a Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001:2015.
• Prepare and revise Quality Plans, Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for joinery and fit‑out projects.
• Conduct incoming material inspections and in‑process checks across cutting, machining, assembly, veneering, laminating, finishing and pre‑installation mock‑ups.
• Perform final product inspections, verify compliance with shop drawings, samples, tolerances and finish quality.
• Coordinate internal audits and support external audits by clients, consultants or certification bodies.
• Identify non‑conformities, issue Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Liaise with project, production and site teams to ensure quality compliance during factory acceptance tests, site installation and snag clearance.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, approvals, NCRs and corrective actions; compile quality dashboards and monthly reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in QA/QC within carpentry, joinery or fit‑out manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and quality management principles.
• Ability to prepare and manage quality documentation such as plans, method statements and ITPs.
• Excellent analytical skills to identify risks, monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
