Secondary Science Teacher – Physics

About the role

Newton British Academy – Barwa City is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced secondary science teacher to deliver high‑quality Physics lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The successful candidate will inspire curiosity and a love of science while fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging Physics lessons for the secondary phase.
• Monitor student progress, report achievement and provide targeted feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom that encourages scientific inquiry.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
• Uphold safeguarding standards and promote student wellbeing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics or a closely related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd, QTS or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching Physics in a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for science education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
