Senior General Accountant

About the role

Qureos Inc is seeking a Senior General Accountant to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations in Doha. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial records, support month‑end and year‑end closings, and liaise with internal teams and auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date ledgers, journal entries, accruals, provisions and adjustments.
• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Manage and review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
• Perform bank, balance‑sheet and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports and financial analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cost‑control initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Assist internal and external audits by providing schedules and documentation.
• Identify variances, implement corrective actions and improve accounting processes.
• Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and perform other finance duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of general accounting experience in a structured corporate environment in Qatar.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and month‑end closing procedures.
• Experience with AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Native‑level proficiency in Arabic and English.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
