Senior General Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior General Accountant to lead and support day‑to‑day accounting operations in Qatar. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, month‑end and year‑end closings, reconciliations, and audit coordination while working independently and collaborating with internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and documentation.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities.
• Manage and review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
• Perform bank, balance‑sheet, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and conduct financial analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost‑control initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Assist internal and external audits by providing required schedules and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of General Accounting experience in a structured corporate environment, preferably in Qatar.
• Native‑level proficiency in Arabic and English.
• Currently based in Qatar.
