Accountant (Hospitality & F&B)

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized Accountant to oversee daily financial operations for Mary Café, a premium hospitality brand in Doha. The role supports cost control, cash flow management, and provides accurate financial reporting to aid strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions in Sage Accounting.
• Reconcile sales, cash collections, POS transactions, and bank deposits.
• Prepare and process daily bank deposits and monitor bank accounts.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Issue purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers, and monitor inventory costing.
• Analyze food, beverage, and operational costs, recommending cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports (P&L, sales, expense, cost control, cash flow, budget vs. actual).
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing, trial balance, and financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and Qatar financial regulations.
• Coordinate with auditors, external accountants, and government authorities as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience; hospitality or F&B experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
