AFL Teacher – IB Arabic (Permanent)

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated AFL Teacher to deliver the International Baccalaureate (IB) Arabic B and Arabic AB programmes. The role involves creating a safe, stimulating environment that motivates pupils of diverse backgrounds to achieve high academic standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set high expectations and inspire pupils to reach their full potential.
• Plan and deliver well‑structured lessons aligned with the IB Arabic B and AB syllabi.
• Assess and be accountable for pupils' attainment, progress, and outcomes.
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including those with special educational needs, high ability, and English as an additional language.
• Embed IB pedagogy in lesson planning and reflect systematically on teaching effectiveness.
• Contribute to curriculum design, scheme of work development, and departmental resources.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the IB Arabic B and Arabic AB curricula.
• Ability to create a respectful, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and scholarly practice.
• Understanding of how various factors affect pupil learning and strategies to overcome them.
