Aircraft Mechanic – Welder (Workshop)

About the role

As an Aircraft Mechanic – Welder in the workshop you will perform maintenance and repair tasks on aircraft components, ensuring compliance with approved technical data, QR standards and safety procedures. You will work in a time‑constrained environment delivering high‑quality results for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Complete assigned welding and maintenance tasks on aircraft structures and components.
• Operate workshop equipment and tooling to meet task time‑frames.
• Interpret technical data and ensure work complies with QCAA/EASAPART‑145 standards.
• Maintain productivity standards and adhere to health‑and‑safety policies.
• Motivate the team by leading by example and communicating safety issues.
• Perform additional department duties as directed by the department head.

Required profile

• High School/Vocational/Diploma with at least 3 years relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years experience.
• Minimum 5 years certifying experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Degree or equivalent licence in Aircraft Maintenance and a Basic ICAO Type II licence.
• Relevant aeronautical or technical certificates and at least one year of practical experience in a similar field.

Required skills

• TIG welding on aluminium, titanium, nickel and steel alloys for aircraft components.
• Aircraft component repair and maintenance.
• Use of workshop tooling and equipment.
• Knowledge of QCAA/EASAPART‑145 regulatory requirements.
• Basic ICAO Type II licensing.
