Assistant Cost Controller

About the role

The Assistant Cost Controller will support the Food & Beverage (F&B) team in monitoring and managing cost control procedures across the hotel. You will work closely with Finance, Purchasing, Kitchen and other departments to ensure accurate inventory, pricing and cost reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and maintaining F&B cost control procedures in line with company policies.
• Verify supplier invoices, purchase orders, requisitions and goods received for pricing and quantity accuracy.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly cost reports, inventory reconciliations, consumption analyses and related journal entries.
• Maintain food and beverage cost percentages, identify variances and support management review.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and ensure accurate records for food, beverage and operating supplies.
• Monitor stock levels, support replenishment processes and conduct routine checks of receiving, storeroom and kitchen operations.
• Assist in menu costing, track high‑cost items and produce cost analysis reports.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, recommend corrective actions and collaborate with Finance, Purchasing and Kitchen teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Hospitality Management.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar cost control role within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong understanding of hotel operations, F&B controls and inventory management.
• High attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to work cross‑functionally.
