Assistant F&B Cost Controller

About the role

The Assistant F&B Cost Controller supports the senior Cost Controller in managing food and beverage cost structures across the organization. This role ensures accurate cost calculations, monitors pricing changes, and helps maintain profitability while supporting new store openings and menu updates.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate food and beverage item costs and adjust menu pricing based on collected data.
• Recommend solutions for food or beverage shortages and highlight cost‑saving opportunities.
• Monitor cost‑control policies, management plans, and contract recommendations together with the F&B Controller.
• Support the establishment of menu change and ingredient/recipe addition processes.
• Conduct random monthly physical inventories and run monthly cost‑control audits and reports.
• Prepare opening inventory and menu items for new store launches in collaboration with the Line Manager and Finance.
• Perform stock variance analysis, recipe transfers between locations, and trend analysis of fast‑moving consumer goods.
• Report purchase price changes that affect Cost of Sales.
• Maintain accurate POS/MICROS listings for current food, beverage, and retail items.

Required profile

• Graduate with a finance‑related degree.
• 2–3 years total experience, including 1–2 years in FMCG, hospitality, catering, or restaurant environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Intermediate proficiency in the MS Office suite.
