Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports daily housekeeping and laundry operations at a hotel in Doha, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and service. Working closely with the Housekeeping Manager and other departments, this role balances operational efficiency with guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate room cleaning schedules, check‑outs, and discharges to optimize staff assignments.
• Conduct inspections of guestrooms and public spaces, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
• Maintain inventory of linens, supplies, and uniforms, and assist with ordering when needed.
• Collaborate with the Front Desk and Engineering departments to communicate room status and maintenance requirements.
• Oversee lost‑and‑found procedures and ensure compliance with loss‑prevention policies.
• Supervise housekeeping staff in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, providing feedback and coaching.
• Handle guest complaints, review feedback, and promote a culture of exceptional service.

Required profile

• Experience in hotel housekeeping operations, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams such as Front Desk and Engineering.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Physical ability to lift and move objects up to 55 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance.
