Assistant Manager - HSE Marine

About the role

The Assistant Manager – HSE Marine supports Milaha’s Safety Manager and Marine Designated Person Ashore in delivering the company’s HSEQ strategy across the fleet. The role acts as a bridge between internal marine teams and external partners, ensuring that health, safety, environment and quality standards are consistently applied and monitored.

Key responsibilities

• Report on the effectiveness of HSEQ implementation, performance outputs, risk levels, compliance status and incident investigations.
• Direct crew and vessel management responses to meet HSEQ performance requirements and mitigate risks.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors and clients on HSEQ matters, providing subject‑matter expertise.
• Coordinate with Fleet Managers, Marine Managers, Technical & Marine Superintendents, and vessel officers to align operational activities with HSEQ objectives.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage non‑conformities, corrective actions and critical event responses.
• Exercise authority to stop work when unsafe conditions are identified.
