Assistant Reservations & Revenue Manager

About the role

The Assistant Reservations & Revenue Manager will support the hotel’s reservations and revenue functions, ensuring optimal room occupancy, pricing and guest satisfaction. Reporting to the Reservations & Revenue Manager, the role works closely with sales, marketing, front office, finance and housekeeping to implement commercial strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in day‑to‑day management of the Reservations department, supervising agents and ensuring accurate booking entry, amendments, cancellations and special requests.
• Monitor VIP, corporate, group and special‑occasion reservations, manage room blocks and enforce hotel policies on deposits, guarantees and cancellations.
• Support the Revenue Manager by tracking daily occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and booking pace, analysing pickup trends and recommending dynamic pricing, restrictions and inventory adjustments.
• Prepare weekly and monthly revenue forecasts, compare actual performance against budget and prior‑year results, and identify opportunities to maximise yield.
• Oversee distribution channels, ensuring room rates and availability are correctly posted across brand websites and third‑party platforms.
• Promote upselling and cross‑selling to increase revenue per booking and handle escalated guest enquiries professionally.

Required profile

• Minimum 36 months (3 years) of experience in hotel reservations, revenue management or a related hospitality function.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and support senior managers in implementing pricing and distribution strategies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple booking requests and inventory adjustments simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills and professional handling of complex guest enquiries.
